At Co-creation HUB (CcHUB), we hold an unwavering belief that teachers are not merely instructors, but rather the very cornerstone of educational transformation. They are the dynamic, driving force within every classroom, uniquely positioned to ignite curiosity, foster innovation, and effectively bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and meaningful, real-world change. 

We strongly believe in the power of technology and community to drive teacher agency and professional growth. With technology, teachers are empowered to work smarter, saving time, accessing new knowledge, and improving instructional practice. Through community, they find shared purpose, peer support, and collective strength to sustain change beyond the classroom.

This year’s celebration highlights CcHUB’s commitment to teacher development by spotlighting two critical enablers of agency:

Teacher-facing technology that enhances professional practice, restores decision-making power to educators, and creates room for creativity and innovation.

This month, we take a step further in our efforts to honour these exceptional professionals by announcing that October will henceforth be designated as Teachers’ Month at CcHUB.

Introducing

The CcHUB Teachers’Awards

At the centre of this year’s celebration is the CcHUB Teachers’ Awards, our way of honouring teachers who go above and beyond in reimagining learning and leading within their communities.

What makes these awards unique is that they are built on peer recognition, teachers nominating teachers. We believe that no one understands the impact of teachers better than fellow teachers.  

The awards will recognise excellence in two categories.

Community

The “Community Champion Award” will recognize a teacher who demonstrates outstanding classroom practice, mentorship, and deep commitment to supporting other teachers.

Technology

The “EdTech Innovator Award” will recognize a teacher who creatively leverages digital tools and innovative approaches to enhance teaching and learning.

How to Nominate

The CcHUB Teachers’ Award is open to actively teaching public and private secondary school teachers across Nigeria.
